Sorry for these multiple posts, I just cant get my viewpoint in 500 characters lol

I would like to know though the max CFM the AliveAir's fan produces (sound is not an issue, I love sound of fans :) ), and also related how many ACHs per hour it can manage? What size room is this device best for (I live in a HUGE basement)?

A cheap trick i did was buy a UV lamp from a scientific instrument company ($45), some mylar, and now my IQAir also destroys bacterial via UV with only a $45 investment :)

The UV must have the right frequency (UV-C) to be effective, and air has to pass over it at the correct speed- unless you also include Tio2 which does allow for more coverage...The alive air has a CFM of 140. It will clear 865 square feet.

I just bought the (ridiculously expensive) IQAir purifier.

I'm NOT rich lol, just suffer Daily Chronic Migraines from my allergies, so a $1000 investment is a small price :)

Anyways, the thing is amazing, I live in a dirty ass basement that now smells like a fresh spring day (I AM VERY IMPRESSED!)

I took hell years now trying SOOOO hard to sift through the 90% of bogus products , that I wouldn't be surprised if my headaches are in part from this difficult research :P

I own both IQAIR and Alive Air models. The IQAIR is very good because the HEPA filter is very thick so it will remove down to smaller particles than most air purifiers. The question is whether the cost of 1) buying it ($900+) 2) replacement filter ($200 every 6-9 months) and 3) Energy usage (older motor style) make it a good value or not. For someone with extreme lung problems it may - but for the average allergy sufferer and average household The AliveAir is more affordable.

I bought a honeywell HEPA - so loud I couldn't sleep with it on

It uses an old Brush motor whereas the alive air has a quiet brushless motor (also uses less electricity and lasts longer)

Anyways, point is, this whole time I had been trying to find a purifier that incorporated as many of the additional purification technologies (TiO2, carbon, UV, etc.) into one unit, and am impressed by this unit, and that this company (AliveAir) finally did something logical in air purification engineering.

Had I known about this device sooner I may have given it a try, however, the output of my IQair is REMARKABLE, and I don't think AliveAir could come close to the ACHs, IQair produces

I had a HEPA air purifier that would detect farts. Whenever I farted, the thing would come on. I am not kiddin you. I don't know if it took the fart odor out, but it certainly detected the farts.

Isn't UV produces ozone that's harmful ?
