For anyone who is interested: the pictures are not the instrumental music being played (which was recorded in tablature in the Chantilly codex, which features music of the mid to late 14th century, and is mostly the attributed work of Solage (although some Baude Cordier (early 15th century) was added to the front at some point)). The pictures here are the Chigi codex (created around 1500), and the piece is Johannes Ockeghem's Kyrie, written in the mid to late 15th century. Beautiful eye music!

Bravo! Thanks for a wonderful performance of music that enchants me with such remarkable yet simple counterpoint, that it takes my breath away...
