man I'm so stupid, if I were you, I probably would have NEVER realized it was the microSD card causing the messaging problem even if someone had told me. I'm getting an E71x soon from AT&T, glad you figured out your problem.

is your ipod hurt in even the slightest way from this case?

your videos are really cool im a e71 user too. just wondering cause as u said your using a 16 gig for your memory card. I didnt know u can use one higher than 8 gig cause on the nokia e71 website its says there that it can support 8 gig max thats why im just sticking to that. Now that i saw someone else doing it ill be getting myself an upgrade!

Hey I am int he UK and had the same problem on my E71, its the brand of card being used, DO NOT USE SANDISK on your E71. Thank god i backup every day, use Kingston bran or Nokia brand. I am using a Nokia Brand card and no problems.

I' have mixed feelings about the 16GBSD because while it stores correctly what I put inside, I have the sensation it solws down the phone terribily on searching stuff and many resets tends to happen. Another thing I noticed is that often I cant's install programs correctly while the 16GB SD is in: I install stuff but it doesn't shows up in the phone menu. If I take the SD out and put the original 2GB in I can install that same program correctly and it shows as intended.

doesn't the e71 support a maximum of 8 gb microsd?

hi :) thx for your great reviews :-) Finally after watching your reviews about the e-71 i bought one for my girlfriends birthday and she is very happy about that great hardware (she ve owned before an htc touch .. that was a step like from the stone age -> science fiction ;-) )
hi i would like to know whether e71 support 16gb without any problem or even a 8gb??

Yes, I personally use a 16GB microSD right now with my Nokia E71 even though it isn't officially documented in the specs to support it. However, Nokia does officially state support for the 8GB microSD.

does E71 can support only 8Gb micro sd card?

I actually use a 16GB microSD with my E71.

i believe nokia officially supports up to an 8GB microSD card, it's possible that higher sizes will work, but perhaps the behavior could be unexpected past the "supported" size. So this could be related to your initial problem with the 16GB microSD card being corrupted.

That is a very good point. So far I after fixing the issue I have had no problems, and I hope my E71 remains that way.
