@justanoldman1 they're still the centre party. he's not a leftist anymore. its dummies like you who can't get that silly bias and prejudice of his former party ties

People like Bob Rae are what is wrong with the liberal party of today. They don't know if they are NDP or Liberal or has it become the same thing?
Liberals used to be a center line party but now they are fighting to take over the left from the NDP. We have enough loonie lefties in this country, we need a more center line party to run the country properly. We will turn into Cuba if the NDP get in.

Yeah Bob Rae..... you showed Ontario what you're capable of!

Very Funny Sir Bob, you certainly have a sense of humour... a happy holiday season

@Richi420 A vote when you have a majority doesn't mean anything. The house has been prorogued 100 times, it's one BIG red herring...

Bob couldn't hold Stephen's coat talent wise on the piano or the political scene. This man destroyed Ontario as Premier and it is nice to know in Elton John's words that it's going to be a long long time before the Liberals ever form a government in Canada thanks to Bob and the Adscamers. Hey there's a name for your band Bob. It looks so good on them.

this is funny as he proogued his ontario parliment three times and then says "it was different back then". I dont approve of what Harper did, but I think the worst person to come out and say how it was terrible to do something like this is a man who did it three times himself.

I think that Canadians are fed up with the ruling party and that the prorogation was the last straw. It was clear that Steven Harper was using this to duck the Afghan torture issue. As for why people didn't complain about Jean Cretien and others using prorogation, well the dynamic was different and maybe conservatives should be asking themselves this tough question.
theres big differance between when the Liberals prorogued they did so with a vote not just deciding to do so. If he wanted to prorogue parliment then he should of brought it to the house for a vote.

I never understand the logic of "since A did it, it is okay for us to do it". Just because the two pro-business center-right ex-PM and right current-PM in Canada and an experimental radical center Third Way premier prorogued the parliament way too many times does not mean that the increasingly politically-educated Canadian population cannot criticize the abusive use of reserve power. If anything, this small crisis will finally allow us to end the "friendly dictatorship" started since Trudeau.
