I hated my cutting performance in my sword review, so I went back to work. Here's what it looked like after a bit of practice. It's not perfect, but it is better. I definitely need more practice though.

It's definitely harder to keep the sword stable with one handed cuts than it is with two handed ones.

  • hey great job swordsage my and my friend do water bottle cutting 2 but we use full tang katanas i much rather use cjinese weapons but for a good han jian sword is like 300 dollers

  • @otakblitz Yeah... to be honest, any well made sword for the guy on a budget is going to be around the 200-300 dollar range. I know that with katana, they are sometimes priced lower because there are so many people making them; there's a huge market for them. High quality Chinese weaponry on the other hand isn't as highly demanded, though that has slowly been changing over the years.

  • thats looks like a nice blade where can i find one??

  • Check out my review of this blade... I talk about the company that I got this sword from.

  • "911 Emergency, how can we assist you?"

"OMG come quick! There's some crazy man with a sword choppin on some plastic jugs! Oh the humanity!!!"

Great vid man, keep em comin :)

  • The funny thing is, because I train in my backyard, I've never had to worry about any riff raff in my neighborhood. :P

  • Put up more vids dude. Great to watch....I FEEL LESS ALONE IN THE WORLD, haha. But now I see what I must look like to my neighbors. I've been seriously collecting for over a decade, but only cutting for 2 years.

  • cloud cut was epic! :D

  • I'd love to see kenseiSL cut a gelatin-filled 2L bottle with a wood dowel pounded through the center. Its about equivalent to a human thigh.

  • interestingly, i wasgonna get my hands on an old yellow pages book and use my wushu dao to make a tip slice into the cover and see how many pages deep it can go (i know its not gonna cut the whole book, so im just gonna test its slice potential.

  • i got an interesting challange for you. try cutting lighter targets with a wushu stord, not the 'ones so flexible u can roll them in a coil sort, but the ones that still wiggles a fair bit when you swing them, like for example the hanwei tai chi sword, not the more sturdy practice jian you have. but the thinner, flexible one. i know from experience of trying to cut with a broadsword of that sort of construction, use light targets to avoid ruining the blade. its a good challange of skill to do it

  • Ah, that reminds me that I'd really like to do some cutting again. Only problem is, I have only one sword left now... since the firearm bug has bitten me, I just needed to scrape some cash together.

*sigh* Why can't I have less expensive interests? XD

  • wow thats a cool video, really like your performance looked very cool.

also what kind of sword is that? it looks amazing.
