***WARNING: The song used, "Testament of a Soldier" by 4th25 uses strong language to convey our military's frustration and anguish with the American people's views on their service to this country by fighting in our war on terror. If strong language is offensive, please do not view.***

Some realities about our combat veterans and what they face and how you can help.

http://www.IAVA.org

Traumatic Brain Injury, suicide, depression, alcohol and drug abuse and lack of timely health care are some serious issues our soldiers returning from war face. They have given of themselves and sacrificed without question. It is time we, as a nation, come together to show our appreciation. "Support Our Troops" is more than a cute yellow bumper sticker to wear on your car.

WARNING/NOTE: Any disrespectful comments that degrade or disgrace our soldiers will be promptly removed and you will be blocked.

  • My brother waited for help and attempted suicide. He has served in over atleast six combat sits. Ive suffer from PTSD and I am getting better but through private health. The worse is silence, No one understands what its like (WAR). Ive recovering from substance abuse, health issues and my wife just tells me to get over it. Bless our troops and there Famlies. Fuck the VA and Haji.

  • I'm so sorry to hear about your hardships. I agree with you. They don't care. Unfortunately my brother can't afford private health care because he can't work due to being injured not only mentally but physically and the VA is taking their sweet time with his disability. In the meantime he has child support backing up because he isn't "officially" disabled. The courts base his support on what he can "potentially" make. So sad. He's selling stuff to get money for his kids. Praying 4 all.

  • I have PTSD been to iraq twice i dont blame President Bush for this war I blame the fucking terrorist who attacked my country. I have a duty to rotect this country so you have the freedom to post shit like this. let me ask you what right does my fellow brothers and sisters have to come home and be piss for going to war when they knew there was a chance we would go to war. I say its their own damn fault for becoming drug users! i am in the Marine corp reserves and have a job a wife and a child!

  • Excuse me, I really don't appreciate your hostility. First of all, I support the WAR, THE TROOPS AND OUR PRESIDENT. I don't support the way CONGRESS is not giving funds to VA clinics everywhere. I also took every word in this video from the Iraq Afghanistan Veterans of America. Perhaps you should check out my other videos before jumping to conclusions.

  • first of all i wasnt lashing out at you. second i'm sick of people talking about PTSD nobody knows what its like to have it other than those who have it. there is no medical cure, people dont understand that. why am i angry at this video, all you did is remind us that we will never be the same. thank you for your support but you dont have to remind us.

  • Basically, thanks for nothing, right? Sorry, doesn't fly with me. You may have PTSD and of course you think there's nothing anyone can do and you're wrong. The VA's health system is atrocious and until we take better care of our vets I won't stop making people aware. And please don't assume that I don't know what its like to have PTSD. I have never fought in a war, but I suffered for 10 years with PTSD for another reason.

  • THIS FOR THE RAPPER THATCALLS HIMSELF SOIJA BOY, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN TO BE ABLE TO TALK SHIT ABOUT THE TROOPS THAT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO OPEN YOUR STUPID MOUTH. GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY GREAT COUNTRY YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!

  • let me tell you all something. This song is meant for true Patriot's who die defending this Country & her Interest's. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MISINTERPRET THE SOLDIER SINGING THIS RAP SONG BIGGOTS. If you protests the wars your protest against your soilders. For those of you naive and/or young who have had family die in these war's, I feel proud to have served with my brethen, how dare you protest against what they themselves. How dare u protest even the ones u loved!

  • Never got PTSD, guess its something that depends on the individual. A couple in my batallion went home with it, its really not pretty and it royally fucked up their families.

  • This shits real so pay attention.

  • I know one guy who returned home the same day as my friend shot himself, the minute he stepped off the base he killed himself. We need to support the troops.

  • "you don't have to agree but atleast support us"

    Exactly!

  • the army is changing alot, its getting alot better with time, look, when he come home after deployment he will be the happiest person alive for about three months, most people dont show symptoms till 8-12 months after you get back...he will be fine im sure, take it from a soilder and a younger brother to 2 older soilders, deployments dont last as long as you think :)
