This is a poem about our obsession with looks and outward appearances. It seems that everybody has got hang-ups about themselves regardless of race, culture or creed. The cosmetic industry is fuelled by our desires to "improve" our looks and therefore "improve" our lives. I think that the problem goes a little deeper...
