I think he calls the team Northern Ireland because that's its name, based on the name of the territory it represents. By the way don't NI fans enjoy their football.

Im english, my comment isnt sectarian. I was just sayin the most northern part of ireland is donegal which lies in the republic. Its a simple fact, look at the map. why did u have such a problem??
