@TableLamp1963 'The retarded pop singer'? What's WRONG with you?!?!?!!!?
-
ok this is colplex
-
Inverted theme e______________e !!
-
speed is a tricky thing because the faster ricther goes, the less i pick up as a listener.
-
@TableLamp1963 It's "Wham-bam thank you ma'am!" It's T.S. Eliot, an it is you who is retarded.
-
Top tunes, yo!
-
The fugue (0:49....) is fantastic. Bach is truly the father of fugue.
-
you can play the notes fine but do you do dynamics and I know bach didnt put dynamics on but
do me a favour richter USE DYNAMICS!
-
listen to Gulda's version. He plays it a reasonable tempo.
-
This is a great pedagogical tool!
Gould's version is constipated. Certainly he plays the notes, but there was not much more.
Richter plays like he is in a hurry. No nuance. To quote the retarded pop singer, David Bowie, it is all "Wham, bam, thank you man!"
What's the problem? Aren't there any performers that can play Bach any more?

Richter can certainly play Bach but I have to agree with you that I don't think Richter's approach on this Prelude and Fugue is the best. Check out d minor, F# major, g minor and A flat major :)

You could've used two more colors! The secondary theme (introduced in msr 5) and the secondary theme inverted (in modified form in msr 11, 20, 24, 28).
There is also a modified verion of the second theme that recurs (16, 31 without the intro measure).
Bach went crazy on this one.... lol.
