Wish to hell he'd cut the irritating fake drunk yank accent & revert back to authentic J. Tea totalle Mancunian.
Wish to god "someone" hadnt sent him a demo tape in 1990 trying to sound like Lou f*ing Reed

i really related to stewart lees comments and remember listening to Peel sessions whilst half asleep .when I first heard the fall it did sound quite crappy and irritating but there was a striking lyrical quality to it which makes you want to to persevere and try to unravel it and get into the world of MES.Of course the whole thing is coiled too tight to do that but I can safely say I am perverted by language !

Dragnet seems to get sadly pushed aside because they only became great later on. It's a fantastic record

I always thought that they should have re-recorded Dragnet - the tunes are great but the recording quality is shite.
In 2002, I once heard the entire album played on Australian radio both sides, without interruption!

I agree. I am a long time fan of Syd and only just discovering The Fall I can see there is something the same but different, good point leesawford
