The use of a one metre length of stainless steel twin walled for the inner chimney, means that the gasses heat up a lot quicker and make less smoke than bricks.

All you needed to do was start the fire in the large flue 1st to start a draft.

This was just a first try just to get us going, we used were blue engineering bricks because they are already fired to a high temp,
