Animation copyright James (Jamie) Francis Bell aka. "DispleasedEskimo" 2010.

*UPDATE: It (the final piece) got full marks! YAY :D*

This is the final piece for my AS art course, a flipbook made entirely out of biro pens. It's something like 2100 pages long, and about 50 jotter books. I'd say I worked on and off it for roughly 3 weeks.

Song is French Cancan by Jaques Offenbach.

Additional sounds credited to Valve, specifically from their game Team Fortress 2.

Other stuff is from the 300 trailer and O Little Town of Bethlehem.

This animation has now been put onto clothes with a design I made. So, if you want to help me get all my necessary meals and whatnot, why not head on over to http://displeasedeskimo.viralprints.com/a-brief-history-of-pretty-much-everyt...

  • The Monty Python foot had to be there. Also, is it only enviro-freaks like me who thought..."That would take a crap-load of paper"? :-) .

  • ummmm Caesar's assassination was before the birth of Christ (and the wise men), not after.

  • i love u

  • I love the Team Fortress 2 sounds ;)

  • @foohba1 How can I judge you when I am a sinner myself? A lot of religions today (sad but true) judge and are hypocrites (which ironically enough ALL judge and are hypocrites, even the atheist). This is why it puts such a sour taste to those that don't believe yet; I say yet, because I believe truth will always prevail; not truth to always condemn, but to truth to love. I don't try to force anything; if someone is not happy with their life, I have a message if they are not content and want more

  • @foohba1 It's my belief that we are judged on what we know to be true. The Bible says that you must be baptized in order to enter the Kingdom of God. But what happens to the man (or baby) that dies and does not have this happen? I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon Church) We believe that someone who does not have the opportunity in this life, will get it in the next (See 1 Cor 15:29 in the Bible) That is one of the ordinances we do in the temples today.

  • @mouts81 Ill say you arent like the other Christians... most either shove the religion down my throat... or just say .. "Ohh your aithiest... wow your going to hell because you warship satan... You arent my religion so im automatically right." I feel as though my statement before was a little straight up and judging by the cover, sorry. Dont get me wrong, I respect your religion. I just dont like it when a christian really acts better then me because of their religion.

  • @foohba1 Plus.. it's your choice to be an atheist. Just because you don't believe that God exists, does not mean he does not. Truth is truth no matter what people think (or vote on). There is no democracy of facts. God loves you and one day you will realize that He has always been with you. Pray about it and ask Him. I hope that does not sound "preachy" because everyone has their time and season, just don't cancel out the idea that He does exist. Have a good one bro.

  • @foohba1 Would you call someone who tries to follow Christ' teachings, "Jesus Freaks" remember they thought John the Baptist was a "wild man". Anyway, I do believe that we have always been, spirit or intelligence (you and I) have always been with God. God has just mastered all of the laws of the universe and is at the point He can create. I did not mean to knock your video, but it seemed to imply that we came from nothing.

  • @mouts81 It is statements like that that make me an Aithiest, Jesus freaks preaching their non-sense and trying to shove their religion down my throat anyway they can. Who cares that he didnt add "God" To the damn thing. I hate to break it to you, but i dont think it was a big bang, maybe it has just always been, Humans ingorance of everything comes from something is just plain ingnorant. What makes more sense to you, a universe always existing, or some mythical being always existing?

  • @shadowwarhero8 no... its... history...
