Laura Nyro 17 Trees of the Ages & Emmie

Although Laura rarely went over an hour in her shows, this medley was the finale to this performance, cut short (but probably not by much, IF at all) by a storm coming on.

Thank you so much for the Laura Nyro videos. I never had a chance to see her in person.

I owned everything she recorded, loved her then and always will. Just brilliant!

At Myspace there's a really well-maintained profile page of her. You may want to check it out.

Always missing you Laura!

Thanks a lot for posting this whole set of gems. So much sweetness and love in her music... It only adds to our sorrow that she had to pass away so soon.

Nice find. Thanks for the cover.
Sorry she chose the bowdlerized version. Love the edginess of the Eli version. At the end of her life she found that voice again, juxtaposing "Timer" the actual thirteeth confession of Eli with "Emmie" Pop's, first lesbian love song. Check out the CD "The best of Laura Nyro - Stoned Soul Picnic."
Laura, Happy belated Birthday.
I have missed you denknee. Rabdrake
