Yes, you can use this keyboard to make any kind of music you like. There are lot's of loops and such you can use if you like that you can buy and install but you can also make your own drops and such.

This is great technology and good ideas, but definitely not cheap. It only comes with 4GB of RAM. To bump it up to the 192GB RAM, it blew the cost up to $12,454 for the 88 key version.

The way to look at this is the base system is already very powerful and will be sufficient for about 80% of the users. By upgrading the processor and RAM a little, about 95% of the people will be set. But if you need to have the full 192GB of RAM, you are in the elite class of power users. The fact that you CAN have 192GB is amazing..period. To do what the machine will do at that point it will cost 10X using something else. So you really have to put things in correct perspective.

The Mac version Gen3 is a 61-semi weighted keyboard with a Personus Firestudio Interface, MacMini as its OS,,a few USB port..& a lovely 22" LED Touch screen plus your Sonicsource software. The key feature is its 22" touch screen......at $4499 though its not cheap....If it was below $3000, it would easily challenge my 21" iMac i5 8gb, Focusrite Pro24, Ableton Live, 61 midi keys set up. ..minus touch screen feature .My set up still is at least $1000 cheaper than $3999....

Thank you for the comment. We often have people who claim they can put together something that will do the same thing but cost less. Often times they don't use equivalent parts, take the custom fabricated chassis and other parts into consideration, nor the cost of life-time support. Our goal is to provide a seamless, professional product that is not "mashed-together", which is well supported. For that we charge a few hundred dollars more than a cobbled-together mess. Seems fair? :)

I've been following these guys since gen 1 Neko! Victor is a beast in the design game he and Ed together just makes sence. They are the only reason I considered buying an Open Labs instrument. So glad I waited on the Studio Blade. I knew that they were gonna make magic...Thanks so much for blessing us with your wonderful machines. They are unmatched and no company on the planet can compete...I'm ordering mine!
