I'm into finding better tasting cheaper alternatives that you can make at home without using chemicals/flavours etc and saves on the environment by not buying the plastic containers...

This Drink is a double espresso. 10-20 cents
Skimmed milk made from milk powder (50c / Litre)
half scoop protein powder, very cheap

I use this after swimming as swimming is thirsty work! (2k swims)

From Wiki:
Suggested amounts vary between 1.6 g/kg and 1.8 g/kg

They also say more if you work out and a suggested max is 2.5g/kg

My current protein shake has 34g per serv and i add flaxseed, sunflower kernels, sesame seed which is another 7g and more from the milk.

75kg would be approx 41g but you then have to factor in exercise and what energy you're burning and calories from Carbs/Protein/Fat.
Hope this helps.
