Twitter Tips: Be the first who searches for new people to follow

I recently wrote an article about how you can socialize on Twitter by re-tweeting relevant and interesting tweets from the people you follow. Now, I want to talk about another aspect: where are the people that tweet about the same things as you?

Many people like to go on Twitter, watch what others are tweeting, click the links, tweet something and thats it. To many people just wait to see if someone is going to follow them. The truth is that this method of attracting followers its not that productive.

If you are on Twitter just to connect with your friends then this small article is not for you. But if you want to connect with people tweeting about the same things as you and tweeting about things that interests you then I think this advice will come in handy.

If youll wait for people to follow you then you are probably in the same situation like many others. To many of us are waiting to be followed. If you wish to interact maybe its time to make the first step. Those people would follow you back if you have quality tweets that interest them : you have nothing to fear.

You have to be careful and not start to follow people just like that. Do a search on Twitter and find who is tweeting about what you are interested in. See if they are consistent in what they post and how often they tweet. It will be best if you find people with the same interests and habits as you.

Why do I think you have nothing to loose if you are going to do this? Those people would eventually find you and start following you. Why waste time? You could miss valuable information or maybe a friend or a potential client. So, why delay the moment.

If you are on Twitter to interact with people that share the same interests and maybe are in the same niche market as you are then I think you should go search them and start follow them. Be the one that makes the first step.

Its like saying the only way to eat good chocolate from France is when you are there. I believe that if you want something you should go after it.
