Over 900 people lawfully arrested. Sure, it seems like a lot of arrests for a car or two and a few broken windows, but the police were just carrying out Canada's incredibly strict laws, which make it illegal to swear, shout, or sing in a public place if it causes a "disturbance."

Police just do their jobs, and that sometimes involves breaking heads in order to uphold our laws. Even stupid, outdated laws. Blame laws, not police.

Please, be as immediately reactive and overly defensive as you feel you have to be in your comments, and then think about it for a second.

  • @mjh012363 Don't your police and politicans IGNORE it half the time?

Like those police who hunted down witnesses and had them killed, also detaining bystanders etc... or Bush.. with his INSANITY.

Canada is not perfect but please do not hold America as a superior.

  • You know what that law would be called in the United States? UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

  • "Canada's incredibly strict laws, which make it illegal to swear, shout, or sing in a public place if it causes a "disturbance"."

    OK then,

I want all the drunk students and bar patrons who swear, shout and sing every weekend in my city arrested by the cops too, I wonder if that would fly?
