  • For any interested fans of Mark Lindsay, a chat room was specifically set up for when Mark broadcasts his radio show every Sat. night for K-Hits. He broadcasts from the radio booth of his Rock 'n Roll Cafe in Portland, OR between 10:00pm-2:00am EST. Go to "Rock Groups by Tom Brady," scroll to the bottom & click on "Chat Room." Enter your name, click on "Chat" and you're in!! Even if you don't join chat you should listen to Mark's show -- he's still fabulous!! :-)

  • Thanks for the info !!!

  • Oh my God.. I remember this like it was yesterday. Where did YOU GET THIS??? Boy, I'm really showing my age.. but this was fabulous music back in the day. Mark Lindsay was a babe. What ever happened to him? And Freddy Weller?

  • Fortunately, a lot of the good old music is being re-released on CDs. Also, Time Life has some great collections. I have 2 :) - Brad

  • Forgottenoldies: Thanks for this.....do you have anything by any other Pacific Northwest Bands like the Wailers, Viceroys, Sonics, Don and The Goodtimes or the Kingsmen? How about the "Beachcombers" and their song "The Wheelie"?

  • Living in the midwest, I didn't have exposure to any of these except the Kingsmen. I seem to remember the Beachcombers for some reason.

  • I found myself humming this a few minutes ago and wondered if it would be here. It is! Thanks!

  • no more his resturant was gone and is his radio show,

  • is there a video of this anywhere? I remember when it hit big, the Raiders sang it on Happening '68 all the time. and what happened to Charlie??

  • I bought the 45 rpm record when I was in the the 8th grade. I think this might be the BEST Raiders song. Love the cool bass groove.

  • This song reminds me of their show "Happening" that use to air in the afternoon on ABC around 1968. Have not heard it since!

  • @chookiechooks 1968; this and 'Cinderella Sunshine' appear on the Harmony label album, Paul Revere and the Raiders, feat Mark Lindsey.

  • OMG I have not heard this song in over 35 years? I forgot about this one? So true forgotten oldies thanks for posting!

  • @khj93play Speaking of "It;s Happening", there is a youtube video of a spot on the show when the Bob Seger System performed. Paul introduces the band and Mark follows up after their performance of "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man"... he calls it a groovy song... lot's of fun!...Getting PR & R into the R&R HOF... I'm all over it... let's get this done!!

  • @stampedehero22

I couldn't have said it better. Every word you say is sadly quite true!

  • For Dawn 1959 There is no R & R hall of fame It is a merchadise center on Lake Erie. The Induction Committee has no criteria. They inducted crap bands ahead of PR & R, Doobie Brothers,Little Feat, Los Lobos, Steve Miller, Deep Purple, Alvin Lee and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Actually it would be an insult to be inducted now. The Induction Committee is hollow and weak.
