To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Play-Doh Fun Factory playset, Hasbro has teamed up with Toyology Media to create a fun viral, aimed at mums and kids, showing how one little boy and his imagination use the special 50th Birthday Fun Factory Spin 'n' Store playset in creating a "squid". The viral shows multicoloured Play-Doh compound flowing on an epic journey around London, including the little boy's "squid" coming to life and scaling iconic landmark St Paul's.

Charlotte Higgins, Junior Brand Manager of the Play-Doh brand, commented: "We wanted to convey the imaginative powers of the Fun Factory playset in a colourful and creative way, and do something a little different to mark this amazing anniversary. We hope the viral will inspire a whole new generation of Fun Factory fans and encourage kids to let their imagination take shape with Play-Doh compound."

The original Fun Factory playset first went on sale in 1960 and has been a permanent fixture in the nation's toy boxes ever since. The Play-Doh Fun Factory playset has inspired thousands of children throughout the years to create their own Play-Doh modelling compound characters and spend hours of playtime in their own Play-Doh compound filled world.

  • @tashkahn - Er, I think the word you're looking for is parody. Or possibly homage. I think it's rather good.

  • This is a complete copy of Sony's bouncing balls advert by Fallon!
