@bugQ If the state gives them the responsibility and privilege of carrying a firearm everywhere else, why NOT in their school so they can defend themselves AND YOU from those who would do violence upon you or others? The state does it's checks and they certify someone to carry at the mall or in the grocery store. I mean people you walk by every day might be carrying and have they shot anyone in anger? Probably not.

ALL THESE LAWS only hurt the law abiding citizens. U think the gangs and the killers are going to break these laws anyways?? Ofcoarse! All these stupid laws only hurt the good law abiding citizens who have the right to bear arms and to defend themselves.

get rid of the whole permit program. Just let people carry guns freely without having to pay to own the right to bear arms. Not only that, but if one wants to get hands on military, or law enforcement weapons, one has to pay a heavy tax and go through court. Makes no sense why one needs to pay to use his 2nd ammendmant rights.

You are out of your gourd if you really think nation wide CCW is EVER going to happen! It won't be long before they try and come to your dorr and get the ones you have! Our government is NOT OUR government anymore and hasen't been for years! We the people are NOT represented in our government...who are you kidding! They are there for what THEY can get...PERIOD!

Iv have tried for 3 months to get my Utah license, and the classes fill up so damn fast I cant get in quick enough to get it

Nationwide CCW is going to happen, whether Utah leads the effort or Florida or Texas or whomever.
Utah's standards are pretty tight compared to most states from what I have seen and you *must* get training from a Utah certified instructor even if you already have CCW in your own state.
I think Utah is doing the nation a good service by allowing itself to be the conduit for nationwide CCW and can make some good money from it.
40k CCWs = $4mil for Utah.

@Xx256xx1 I believe the deadline is 60 days (not calendar). I also believe that in-state applicants have priority over out of state applicants. In the past the BCI has been backlogged and not able to issue permits within the mandated 60 days. You may want to call the BCI and see if there is any problem with your application if you have been waiting longer than 60 business days (Please note that government entities have Friday off and so only work 4 days a week, so this should extend the
