but i also used the cdj 800
and the dn-s1000

well, two CD players and a good mixer is all for what you want do .

can you create loops and cut them in half? also wondering if the denon 1000 can set different cue points.

@BRadlein123 When you create a loops if you push the "B" button you can cut the loop where you want. For the "cue" points you can used the cue button and the other two keys of loop for create other cue points; you can see it on video at 2:20.

I never used American Audio but I assure you, Denon is on par with Pioneer.

I suggest you buy an used Dj set for first time because you don't know how good you are then you don't spending so much, also a good used is better than a bad new.
For the brands i suggest you "Pioneer, Denon" for CD player and "pioneer, denon, allen heath and technics" for the mixer.
However prepared to spend at least 5-600 U.S. dollars.
