i understand in a way, that i would be proud of spanish colonialism more then on dutch, when i would be spanish-origin.

Because the dutch were not more evil than spanish, that's sure isn't it ?

The dutch left a lot of indians alive, but they killed like 1200, while 112 dutch were killed.

BUT the spanish killed 89.000-120.000 Incas and Aztecs, so thats a lot more.

It's a well accepted fact, that the spanish were the worst.

Which doesnt mean, the dutch were good or the english.

Best with indians were the french.

@blueboy921 Yo no estuve en la Batalla de Nieuwpaoort. Pero siempre he sido partidario de que los pueblos se sacudan el yugo del opresor. Pero a mí, como latino, los holandeses siempre me han parecido unos prepotentes. Tú sabes que los poderosos siempre han manipulado la historia y España hace tiempo dejó de ser poderosa y por eso la culpan de una cosa que era común en esa época. Y por desgracia siguen ocurriendo cosas parecidas pero nosotros vivimos en el primer mundo y miramos a otro lado.

Lo pueblos que invadieron España como los celtas, romanos, cartagineses, visigodos, suevos, vándalos, alanos, árabes, franceses, etc. ¿crees que tuvieron piedad con los pueblos nativos de España? Hoy, los descendientes de esos pueblos son nuestros amigos. Los romanos, por ejemplo, nos dejaron el idioma y muchas de nuestras costumbres. Saludos.
