A report from our local news talking about some new legislation that will target street racers. Not very funny in itself, except when they bring out a local Cavalier owner as an example of someone who owns a "souped up" car. Almost too funny.

It's the Governments fault!

When I was growing up in Los Angeles there were 17 drag strips within an hours drive. Now there is only one, and it sucks since it's an 1/8th mile strip.

So no drag strips? Then where do the cops think we will go to race? Answer. The Streets.

Solution. Build some drag strips IN TOWN where racers can go to race.

Because if the government starts taking peoples cars, some of those people will defend their property with lethal force. Then watch the shit hit the fan.

@oldmodman It's not the responsibility of the government to make race tracks. Tracks are a business. If you really want one, get some investors together and open one up. I think you'll find it's harder than you think to keep a race track open these days. The nice thing about where I live though is that there are 5 tracks within an hours drive. Two are 20 minutes from my front door.
