Alright for all those confused on the order of the games here how it goes RE1 RE2 RE3 Nemesis RE Code Veronica (which happens 3 months after RE2) RE4 RE5. Now this game bridges the gap between 4 and 5 so it does go with the main story line. As far as Operation Raccoon City goes i would place it under the RE Outbreak !,2 Dead Aim or those that don't go with the main story at all.

@th3octagon Actually.. It goes RE 0,1,3,2,Code: Veronica, 4, Revelations, 5, and the upcoming 6. 3 starts a day before RE2 takes place and ends after Leon and Claire leave Raccoon City. Operation Raccoon City is a "What if" game. It's just for fun, not part of the main story at all. Basically it is a game determining outcomes for if something different had happen like if Leon, Jill and such were killed instead of escaping.

@xGodOfGta3x Because Capcom always makes their initial game in the trailer different from the final version. Remember the RE5 trailers? Ended up completely different, RE6 is going to be the same way, that's why I find the hype for that game annoying. Regardless, I liked how Revelations turned out, it's a good game, better than RE5, that's for sure. Capcom at least proved they can still make a game with some semblance of horror, I'm skeptical about how RE6 will turn out though.
