  • nice panels man, i wanted to make a panel using the 6x6 but i haven't had the chance yet. i've made 2 3x6 using the sygaurd with an open back. i used 40 cells since i had some left over and was using a mppt charge controler. i stopped making the 3x6 cell panel cause like you said it's pretty close to the price that i can get a factory made one. if i can find some more scrap screen doors the glass on the front on them is perfect. it's little big for the 3x6 cells but it's tempered and 1/4 inch.

  • @hooterman2828

oh yeah, i know what you are saying about the screen doors .. working construction several years back for a contractor i kick myself for how much glass we pulled out of store fronts and things and tossed in the dumpster ..

  • Nice man, I hope to be there some day, guess I'll start with canned goods, guns and, ammo for now.

  • @fukinawful

thats what i did .. i realized stored food and water will only last so long though and a serious deteriorating situation could go on for years so i headed in the sustainability direction. Guns/ammo i have some basics but figure its not going to be about that. My thinking is if its so bad i need an arsenal, storing things will be a mute point and all i need is a limited amount and capture the rest .. just give me a .22 a mini14 and a couple 3 clips and im good.

  • how do you clean? how often?

  • Good video. I've reseached these things and have come to the same conclusions you have. Professional ones stand a greater chance of lasting longer and don't cost that much more anyway. Those people that advertise $200 systems are actually just selling the instructions for that amount. I'm pretty positive it doesn't include materials. That said, if people like to create stuff themselves then more power to them.

  • Interesting video you got a sub from me.

  • Are solar panels safe from an EMP?
