I created a small demo level in the Unreal Development kit based loosely on their tutorial level.
I made two separate dynamic ambiances for the two main rooms and kind of a static one for the outer 'room'.
I added some reverb to most of the rooms and some motor/engine sounds where appropriate.
all the player character sounds are stock. (gunshot/footsteps/etc)
the temple's ambiance includes monk's chanting, some bells ringing out slowly and other more mystical instrumentation.
The engine room is more of a drone with with a bit of murmur and creak added intermittently.
