A song made famous by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman

Even though the first version I posted of this song is by far the most popular, the notes in THIS version are a bit more accurate.

  • Where was the climatic part? This was alright, but nothing in this video sounded incredibly epic and awesome. You should've at least transformed the melody at the end into really large chords and played them really loudly, while at the same time had the harmony in your left hand composed of really fast riffs mixed with loud octaves towards bottom of the piano thus creating an epic bass feeling. And maybe also had a couple fast runs or riffs in the gaps of the melody. It didn't sound epic :(

  • @SislerPianoPlaya It didn't sound epic because I am not an epic piano player. I have no formal piano training. In fact, I cannot read music enough to play it. This was learned entirely by ear, and played with somewhat stiff & rheumatic hands that have no dexterity for riffs. The version that you will play will be infinitely better by comparison, and very much epic.

  • Hi what is does under handsome media player

  • iTunes visualizer

  • this should be played on a grand. keyboards are fun and all, but this song deserves more. playing this song on a keyboard is like drinking a Manhattan out of a water bottle.

  • Hey, if you all are willing to chip in and help raise the money for a Grand Piano, I'm all for it! Until then, keyboard will have to suffice.

  • @JudeMaris I wasn't blessed with big hands, so my piano teacher back then made me compensate by playing chordal parts by turning them into broken chords and playing it quickly. Everyone has their own style. Though, I must say that playing by ear is something you're born with. I started learning to play the piano by ear too, and I bet you could improvise what you made by adding chords to make it sound forceful -- not necessarily fast :D

  • @SislerPianoPlaya Time To Say Goodbye is a very powerful piece of music but the fact that this rendition ‘didn’t sound epic’ is what made it perfect for the last funeral tune for a much loved father and grandfather. Thank you M.A.Ludwig for having posted this lovely subdued performance.
