Tom Angell, media relations director for Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, asks White House "Drug Czar" Gil Kerlikowske what he thinks of all the recent discussion on drug legalization. Any citizen can join LEAP at http://www.CopsSayLegalizeDrugs.com
I am Tom Angell with Law Enforcement Against Prohibition. Director Kerlikowske you said that the idea of legalizing drugs is of the charts for discussion. But in recent weeks a number of serious people like Senator Jim Webb, former Mexican President Vicente Fox and the current Mexican ambassador of the United States have all said that legalization is a serious idea worth serious consideration. And even on page one of the UNODC report up today Mr. Costa devotes significant space to discussing the arguments for legalizing drugs. Do you think that this recent discussion is dangerous and should be discouraged or do you think under the Obama administration in this era scientifically all options really should be on the table for consideration before we decide to a new way to move forward? Sure we are a country of free speech and so I think the last thing that anyone in the administration would do would be to suppress free speech in that discussion. As regards to legalization it is not in the President's vocabulary and it is not in mine.

Our liberty is at stake. Abraham Lincoln said "A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded." George Washington and other founding fathers grew hemp and it seems very likely used it for euphoric purposes. Cannabis is much safer than alcohol. In the last 30 years however there have been over 22 million arrests for cannabis, incarcerating non-violent offenders, and branding many youths lifelong criminals driving them to commit more crime.

In a few years anyone shown this video will recognize this hell worhty traitor for what he is and was. Every day more and more people recognize these prohibitionists for the evil individuals they are. They are holding back humanity and wasting the worlds fossil fuels with their monopoly on middle man drug running.

It is the role of the government to gaurantee the will of the people. A government enforcing its will on the people is called communism. What a toe headed fuck. He's making better money and has better benefits than the people he supposedly represents. Makes me want to puke. You see its alot easier to go after taxpayers who want to smoke pot than to chase down the kalishnakov toting bad guys that smuggle in meth, heroin and coke. You are a COWARD, sir! And, a disgrace to us all.

Reason, logic, and statistics aren't in their vocabulary either. The results of Switzerland and Portugal show otherwise. Regulating drugs reduces usage, HIV infections, and crime!!

They cannot answer tough questions or respond to science that indicts their policies as frauds and failures. Read the book "Marijuana Gateway to Health: How Cannabis Protects Us from cancer and Alzheimer's Disease"
