  • I know some of you may not agree......but I feel like Wes Montgomery is the best jazz musician ever....and most certainly of his time. He made the largest leap in his instrument.....and has the closest gap between him and musicians today. You listen to him and you'll swear its somebody from 2010. I love all of those guys....Monk, Coltrane etc....and I know its futile to bring up this convo, but....I just thought it was an interesting take.

  • There'll never be another Wess

  • This was a favourite of one of my best friends, now so sadly not with us. He was a fine guitarist and a huge influence on my musical tastes. He introduced me to this Wes Montgomery tune in the late 50s and it still brings me to tears. Miss you Miff. D.

  • Someone once said " Jazz is like love, if you don't make it you can't taste it "

  • I just discovered this man and I'm glad i did. Jazz will always be my favorite!

  • 3:30 HFS can he say the line or what?! people act like hype dance music is sexy, but you know lots of people were conceived in the parking lots and hotels directly adjacent to the clubs where wes played every week in indianapolis before he went big time. this is the most seductive music of all time. speaking of babies, he worked as a welder by day, taking care of his family before he went to his guitar gig every night. he chose the gibson l5 b/c he considered it modest and fungible. wes!

  • I was born way too late.

  • wes' soul was in his fingers. what a wonderful gift.

  • What kind of sad wanker dislikes this song?

  • Hit the dislike button by mistake, corrected that real quick, I LOVE this!
