  • Same technique for crossing the board, but not a tack. In a tack, the nose of the board passes through the wind. In a gybe, the nose does not.

    The better comparison would be the the back half of an upwind 360.

  • Practice it another 1,000 times and you'll get it. And if you don't, just keep sailing and enjoy the sport.

  • Haha this isn't even a tack... If it were a tack, his board would pass through the wind (in other words, his bow would turn towards the camera instead of facing away of it)...
