NDAA - Ron Paul "What have we become?"

Ron Paul spoke out against the 2010 NDAA that gave the President the authority to assassinate America citizens. Now, as American leaders and the President lust for more power, in the interest of "National Security" the enemy is now Americans, on our soil.

The NDAA authorizes that Americans can be arrested and detained WITHOUT Trial by the Military, simply because they are affiliated in some way, be it a visit to a terrorists' website, or visiting a local mosque, if you are somehow connected to a "terrorist" you are now included in the group "enemy of the United States".

This is just the beginning of what we see repeat in History. Ron Paul sees this trend, he speaks out against power expansion over people's lives, and advocates we keep our civil liberties before we turn into something we're not. Ron Paul supported going after Bin Laden to punish him for his attack and to hold those accountable in trial and convict all found to be connected and given a proper sentence, instead the ever-present American Military Industrial Complex got there way and invaded countries for their "security" while securing more money and power while installing more and more overseas military bases.

Here at home, when Americans can become a target of the Government, we need to re-assess where we are and make sure we don't sacrifice our liberty for security, especially if it's false security.

This is something every American should know about and should be fighting, this is a formal declaration of war on the American's right to a fair trial, who knows how this could be used 30 years down the line when the passion of party and partisan sweeps men's minds up and captures them in a power trip.

Ron Paul wil not allow this type of legislation from the Executive forces, he will keep pur country safe, but certainly not by declaring war on our Rights.

@trianero921 It got signed into law just before january 1, 2012.

So it is already in effect, it was passed silently while the "news agencies" were in times squares partying.

So now, the only thing you can do is to make sure that if they do detain you without reason, you ask for a lawyer if they say no then what they are doing would be illegal, until now.

We need to stop and reverse legislation like this, which is why we MUST get Ron Paul as our Executive leader.

Ron Paul, although I am not an American, I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for putting into such moving words, the very values, truths & aspects of human decency my own Father (Major Albert Edward Linford RAOC) fought along side millions of other free Americans (and a free Nations) to DEFEND in WW2...I have recently returned to our family home in the UK (both my parents are now deceased) & I have with me his medals.
