In this episode of Catholic Minute, I show you how I get my internal network up to speed. It's all about UTP cables, switches, my XBox 360, a Media Center PC and high speed networking.

  • first - it's Mega bits, Mega Bytes is 8 times bigger than megabits

second - difference between hub and switch is not only the speed, but in transfer. switches are able to transfer 100Megabits in both sides, upload and download, but the hub can only do this in one side so if there is atempt to transfer data on both sides, the speed goes down twice, and you receieve maximum of 5 mbits in both sides for 10 mbits hub

  • Father, what do you play on 360? Myself and a priest from my diocese play sometimes, but I have to send mine back to microsoft because the drive is broken.

Hit me on xbox sometime at tjboudreaux.
