First of all, YES this guy totally screwed it up.
BUT, 1) I think it's wrong to say he's ignorant and stupid. Most probably he DOES know the anthem, but he's up in front of a big crowd and is nervous, so he forgets - and any one of you could do the same.
and 2) If you listen, it's obivous that the clip has been cut (especially in the last few lines) to make him sound even worse.
