Selena's Point Of View
I had been studying the map of the town all day, but I couldn't narrow down exactly where Logan might live. I'm not even sure why I want to see him, I shouldn't want to he's a blood sucking vampire. Maybe drinking my blood had put some sort of control over me because I couldn't get him off my mind. I closed my eyes and took a couple deep breaths to calm down, then walked into my closet.
I changed out of my dress and into dark jeans and a navy blue shirt. I slipped on a dark jacket, pulling the hood over my head and then yanked off that annoying scarf I had to wear all day. It was nearly dark out now and lock down would begin in just a few minutes. I walked back into my room and opened the window. I couldn't risk walking out the front door. I attacked a rope to the window sill and slowly climbed down. I was almost to the ground when the lockdown procedures started. The metal blinds shut over my windows, cutting right through the rope. I gasped as I fell the remaining distance down. My body landed with a thud and I cursed under my breath. It took me a few seconds to get to my feet. As I stood up I shook off the grass that was stuck to my clothes, and then made my way down to the street.
I knew what I was doing was crazy, and I knew it was dangerous and possibly life threatening but for some reason I didn't care. I wasn't sure why but I didn't feel scared about being out so late. My mind wanted one thing, and it wasn't going to stop until I got it. I walked down the street normally as if it was daytime. I felt a bit of fear creep into me but then it was just pushed out and I couldn't figure out why.
I walked further into town until I reached the spot I had first met Logan. I stood on the exact spot my body had been forced to the ground when I ran into him and waited. I looked around. The streets weren't too busy. I was sure they would be crawling with vampires, but they weren't. I waited, and waited and soon got bored of just waiting. So I did something a little bit stupid.
"LOGAN!" I yelled, into the deadly silence surrounding me. "LOGAN!!!" I yelled again and felt a rush of air behind me. I turned around, but Logan wasn't there. Someone else was. He was tall and looked as if he was in his early thirties, even though I knew he didn't age so he was much older.
"Hi beautiful." He smiled, pushing my hood back lightly, releasing my wavy hair into the now windy night air. I held my breath as more shaped emerged from mist, until they stood behind the man in front of me. Many had smirks on their faces as they realized I was human.
I opened my mouth to say something, but no words came out. I heard a couple chuckles from behind me and spun around to see I was completely surrounded.
"I didn't know we got a gourmet meal after those boring meetings, I'll have to come to more." One of the vampires said, taking a few steps towards me. I backed up until I bumped into someone standing behind me. He wrapped his arms around my waist, holding my back to his chest.
"S----stop." I stuttered weakly. Mentally hitting myself for being so stupid.
"Alright, who wants the first bite?" I heard a voice yell and all the vampires began talking. One stepped forward and took my in his arms, leaning down to my neck. I heard a girl in the crowd giggle, noticing my fear. My hair was pushed back from my neck. I felt someone step behind me and grab my wrist, bring it to their mouth. Soon there were three more vampires on me trying to find places they could take my blood from.
Time seemed to slow down as I was sure my life would be over. I closed my eyes tight but heard someone yell "HEY! BACK OFF! SHE'S WITH ME!" I recognized the voice immediately and let out a sigh of relief. Hands were reluctantly pulled off of me and I opened my eyes to see Logan in front of me. He brushed a piece of hair behind my ear with his hand and looked into my eyes.
"Are you okay?" He whispered in my ear, I nodded and hugged him tight.
"How do we know she's really with you?" I heard someone ask from the crowd, with murmurs of agreement from everyone else. I wasn't out of this yet. I looked to Logan and he almost looked a bit nervous.
