www.RunBare.com Chief Coaching Officer, Michael Sandler reviews a light and nimble, ninja-like Japanese shoe. Unlike the Vibram FiveFingers, the Tabi Fighter may not fit quite like a glove, but it certainly fits like a mitten, with the big toe in its own pocket separated from the other toes. Traditionally, these shoes are used by Japanese construction workers.

  • I love the light weight feel of the shoe...I can't stand walking in the clunky thick rubber soles of the typical walking/running shoe. these look like you can take off in a shot. 0 to 60 in seconds. cant wait to buy.

  • @rejectofsoul24Tabi have been around for ages. People wear them with thong style sandals. When they take their sandals off, they have slippers for use around the house. The founder of Bridgestone got the idea to put a rubber sole on Tabi and thus created the Jika Tabi (outdoor tabi). According to the history channel Jika Tabi were used by Japanese soldiers during WW2. I have also read that they are popular with construction workers. Because of that, one company made a steel toed version.

  • best shoes in the world. we ship them worldwide.

  • Well, TECHNICALLY, they are Japanese industrial work shoes (from what I've read). I hear that they were invented by Bridgestone and is used on girder work because of their great grip.

  • Something about that tracksuit and jikatabis feels just flat-out wrong. Sexiest boots on the planet, but not on you though. Sorry. Informative video nevertheless.

  • socks or without socks?
