Ben Franklin had Syphilis a number of times! Never told us that in 5th grade History!!! :)

I seriously doubt this since syphilis was incurable until the 1940s and he could not have had it a number of times. The final phase of the illness effects the heart, brain and the nervous system which can result in blindness, dementia or deafness. Franklin's contempories would have noticed this. Statements like these are conjucture since historians aren't doctors. I'm not saying it couldn't be true, but 18th cen medicine described disease very differently than we do now. Too many variables.

Oh my- Ben is quite mischievous at  1:47, using static electricity on Amos. And then he crosses his fingers when they shake on it.
I loved the book, and I love this short.
