Spore Hero - 01-05-10 pt.4

Heading to the Old Sage on what to do with the brain, he told Crim to hand it to the Ancient Guardian.

(It took a bit to actually hand it to him. Accidentally dropped it behind him instead of on him.)

The Ancient Guardian finally spoke to Crim. "You Crim! You came from the sky! You are the real Guardian mentioned in the legend!" he said. After revealing the truth behind the legend, the Ancient Guardian hands Crim the part that will end the wrath of Zarkhator for good. Crim hurried to the nest to evolve it on him.

(This part took me about half an hour to do. I had to stretch out and smother the legs back and forth to get him back to his crab-like self. I was going to turn him into a buff giant lobster man, kind of like one of those zoanoid creatures in Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor. I really missed his first form though, so I changed him back.)

Crim raced out of the nest and reentered the giant creature's mouth. The other path was finally opened, but red meteors blocked the way. Crim cleared them out and ran down the path to face Zarkhator.

(I cleared out the shark things too. When I was playing as Bleuheart through this, I got knocked out by Zarkhator several times. The game would send me back to where I entered from and I would have to go through those things again.)

"You are too late Crim! When you took the brain away, you opened this path and gave me access to the Ancient Heart! I could not have reached here without your precious help! Now it's time for the world to wither and you with it!" Zarkhator said. The two clashed again, showing no mercy to each other.

(During this battle, it seems best to be defensive. His defense seems to be really high, and he has a fast regeneration ability. The only weapon that hurts him a lot here is the Spore-O-Mega. I tried keeping my health up, since you get into two more consecutive battles with him, and interrupting his regeneration. He doesn't seem to block a lot in this battle though.)

Zarkhator fell down to his knees, and Crim proceeded to destroying the red meteors. He wouldn't give up as easily however. Zarkhator rose on to his feet and absorbed the power of the remaining red meteors.

(He steps up in difficulty after this. He interrupted my spitting attacks several times. This is when I tried interrupting his rhythm with charge and leaving him open to a major blue meteor onslaught.)

After knocking him out again, Crim broke the remaining red meteors. All that was left was Zarkhator. They fought, pushing each other to the limits. Showing no mercy, Crim shot out an array of blue meteors, pummeling him down to the floor.

Unable to revitalize himself, Zarkhator laid there helpless. His eyes widened as Crim drew closer to him. "You... Would not do that to me right?" Zarkhator plead.

"Arrr-harhar... like what Zarkie?" Crim said. Then moments later, they emerged from the mouth of the giant creature.

"Arrrharhar! That's more like it! Zarkie is back to his cute crabby self again!" Crim laughed, "You won't be killing any more worlds in that form I'm afraid!" As they all laughed at Zarkhator's new form, he ran off into the distance in shame. No one in the world and the entire universe ever heard of Zarkhator again.

(That is it for the video walkthrough. All that is left is challenging the Pose Master, getting the remaining shards and possibly one bone pile. Even though I got all the parts, the message where it would say that all parts collected didn't show up. Oh well. I hope for those who viewed these videos find all the parts they need and/or enjoyed watching them. It was fun playing through this game again.)

@spartamixfan That's true. I hope they make a game like this for the consoles again. It has to involve movement, armor/clothes, weapons and bio-powers though! (I know there is DarkSpore. I tried the demo and liked the battle system a lot. I'm just dissappointed we can't make our own heroes....)

Also, without arms your creature won't have strike attacks. It will be the only thing to worry about. It is always up to you to decide what your next creature will be like. :)

@Xozo7 That would have been so damn awesome! But still. At least there's a meteor crashing move. :P I started over and I'm trying to think of a creature. What do you think if I used the C with 4 arms and legs. I think it looks okay but I'm completely mindscrambled. I'm goin on 15 and I'm losing creativity! And does it matter if I use no arms?

@spartamixfan Aye, indeed! It has some of the customizability from the original Spore and it keeps your arms moving. Good for a little muscle tonage! I still would have liked to see bio-powers in this game. ^-^

IMO Best boss fight of 2009! And maybe 2010 because I got the game in 2010. :L And hell was it awesome! If I made it I would have made it longer, less restricted and give Zarkhator a few more fights with you. Plus every awesome villan has to have a reason for wanting to blow up a planet, but still I love this game and I've gotten addicted to it again after months of not playing it. XD

@gamerboy2811 It seems to be Porcupain, but he doesn't seem to have it on him during the battle. He spits four times in a row though, suggesting he has it somewhere on him.
