  • This song sounds like it belongs on a xmas cd.........Am I wrong? For some reason I can see Johnny singing this next to a xmass tree! But what do I know Im a nice Jewish boy from Jersey!

  • Well, it could be on an xmas cd. I may have not recorded all xmas stuff. Or maybe Johnny's people never thought of putting it on an xmas cd. I recall hearing this song on a.m. radio sung by someone else back in the 60's or 70's. So someone else made it famous and Johnny's people probably saw it as good material for him to do and it wound up on "Close To You".

  • My dad has this album. released in 1970. besides this song includes, close to you, Why Can't I touch You, Evil Ways, Everything is Beautiful, The Long & Winding Road, The Wave, Yellow Days, Pieces Of Dreams Until it's time for you to go. BTW This song was from Ludwig Von Beethoven's 9th Symphony "Ode To Joy.
