@Rikk303 Dude, just go home. You obviously know everything about guitars.

@58VOS Been playing for 40 years now...a few more won't make a lot of difference.I think I've peaked!!!Owned Gibbos and Fenders,Martins and Taylors.Settled with Takamine and Epiphone because they were underdogs I suppose.Reassuring to see a huge name on the headstock though if that helps playing in a psychological way I suppose.I'm sure it's "Squier" btw..a lot of people get that wrong

Oh my bad.... Great playing there and great video. That's one of my fave tracks to play over as well. Beck is just not human at times with what he is able to get out of a guitar.
Keep up the good work.

@Rikk303 .... ahhh your so wrong. Lets just say I work around all these guitars all day. There is an AMAZING difference between a squire and a real strat & a huge difference between an Epi and a real LP. If you can't hear it then that's one thing, but to claim no difference in feel or sound is way wrong and/or not a very good ear for tone.
After a few more years of playing you will see the difference. GL in your ear training.

I own a Gibson LP Classic.. and yes, there is very much something about them, nice axe.. great tone!

Nice playing man. and your Paul sounds awesome! As far as the debate about cheap/expensive goes, you get what you pay for. Both the Gibson and Fender custom shop guitars are superior to the cheaper versions. It's in the details, flawless fret and nut work, usually built by one luthier, and by one of their masters to boot. Everything about them is better than the cheap versions. But, if you are a good musician, you can coax good sounds out of anything, I suppose...
Hopefully this demo might go some way to destroying the perceived difference between Fenders and Gibsons. They're just magnets and wood..they have no soul.As long as the neck is true and the thing stays in tune after major string-strangling,it's up to the player to find those treasured and sought after sounds. All this"brand loyalty"&"legendary status"crap does is just bulk up the bonuses of people selling trees and metal.Buy an old Epi,Squiers are great,or build your own.Don't get ripped off

@Rikk303 I'm not entirely sure if you are saying the guitar is crap or my playing, neither of which is particularly pleasant. I've owned and played many guitars over the years including Squiers, and whilst there are not huge differences in the sound and feel, there "are" differences. This guitar is by far the best I've owned, it plays beautifully and has a tone that just wants you to play more and more. I did build up the Brian May with different pups and electronics, it's not as good as the LP

Beautiful, and very well done. Iused to listen to that tune endlessly when I was first learning to play. Kind of slipped off my radar recently. I enjoyed hearing it again, and played so well.
