@OktoberSunset: yeah, but normally the nests are in trees, and the ducklings fall on soft ground/fallen leaves and twigs/ whatever, not a concrete sidewalk where a person might accidentally harm them. That's why the guy did it in the first place (there was a blog he wrote explaining this)
