This project, shot on digital video, is a recreated interpretation of a scene from Mel Brooks' feature, The Producers. Directed by Michael D. Witman, it was made as an exercise for both him as a filmmaker, and the theater actors in the realm of film. Copyright of the script is held by Embassy Pictures Corporation and Studio Canal. Copyright of this video project is held by Domitian Films. The script was used for educational purposes only.

This project was completed in conjunction with a Conservatory class for actors wishing to work in the film medium. The Producers is a scene taken form Mel Brook's feature of the same name. In this scene, Max Bialystock (Brett Macias), along with his right hand man, Leo Bloom (Daren Leonard), is trying to convince the Nazi activist, Franz Liebkind (Alex Younger), to sign a contract with them, empowering Max and Leo to produce the play that Franz has written.

This creative rendition of a classic scene from a timeless film will keep you laughing at the edge of your seat for its entirety.

  • Aww, what happened to the sacred safety pin? And the sacred chicken feather? XD

  • Hee hee! So many comments! Alex, or should I say Arnold, your accent killed me. This is just sheer acting...fun! I thoroughly enjoyed taking this trip down memory lane.

  • Hey, this was great! I'm very impressed. There isnt much to improve on or for me to suggest, except that the main flaw here is that it seemed to drag on- possibly because of the delivery of the lines, or the editing...eh, I'm not an expert. But I won't knock the acting, since there was so little of it. Awesome Job!
