Solorius Sanctum

This' my entry for the Solorius Festival video contest that plaync's hosting.

I had the hardest time finding a Christmas song, lol, but then I came across Utada's FYI. Not exactly the type of holiday song I was expecting to use but I couldn't find anything else. This' the first video featuring my other characters, Delcea an' Siori. Hope you enjoy it!

While it does suck, I should have been more thorough in the first place. Thanks for all the support guys an' thanks to aionus for taking the time to answer my questions. It's really not their bad this happened.

Well, I'm not getting any responses from aionus (nor do I expect to at this point), but I believe I've found out why my video (as well as anothers) was disqualified.

Rules states no content that isn't owned by the sponsor or the video creator can be used, an' will instantly disqualify you.

With that being the case, there are some accepted entries guilty of this as well. But, I'ma drop it an' forget about this stinkin' contest.

@archchunk I understand what you mean. If the music was used only for our video for the 'contest' it would be 100% OK, but since they're going to use the winner's video as a means of profiting, it would be a pain to go through all of the songs to see if they can actually use them without breaking any copyright laws. Sometimes adding credits just isn't enough anymore. :/

Using copyrighted music without permission isn't against the law, unless you claim it as your own. To prevent it even further they could put the copyright information about the music somewhere around the video or at the end of it.

@archchunk While this video is very, very well done with the little resources we have to work with, the problem is that NCSOFT is going to take full rights of the video and have to be free of copyrighted stuff so they don't have lawsuits on them for using stuff without permission. If this rule wasn't in the agreement then we'd see a lot more creative videos popping left and right. I guess they're asking us to be REALLY creative, even musically!

Seriously though ncsoft I'm VERY dissapointed that you would disqualify any creative work because it contains copyrighted material even though that isn't illegal to do that. Jackasses.

I have pretty much stopped playing Aion since Ncsoft doesnt even care about the costumers anymore. Shitty new buff rules and to many bot users, goldsellers and so many buggs in this game. I do really like this game but I wont pay n' play it untill they fix it.
