Undercover Cops - Redtailed Cat

Released by Irem in 1992 with music by 'HIYAMUTA', Undercover Cops is a post apocalyptic beat em up just ripping with style, not to mention great music. The much of the team responsible went on to form Nazca, who created the Metal Slug series; one can reason then that the composer of much of the music for Metal Slug, 'HIYA!' is the same as 'HIYAMUTA'. Just a thought.

This is music from the original Japanese version of the game; the world version features different, and so I have heard, worse music. There were other such stupid changes, such as cutting the amount of available moves in half. One has to wonder had to do these things, and it's certainly no wonder why they chose not to release the upgraded U.C. Cops Alpha overseas. That version actually got ported to the SNES, and is a pretty fabulous port... aside from the fact that you can only play single player. The music from the original version is pretty much intact, but the voice clips will be removed if you play it on certain emulators (thanks for the tip, drexegar).

Redtailed Cat is the track for the third stage, where you fight the mole people in an sewer. The music goes along very well with the way they move through the stage. It's my favorite track in the game, and there's part of it that I wish I could play on my bass.

The entire OST can be found at Galbadia Hotel. They're down right now due to bandwidth issues, but check back maybe in January. The OST has some remixes; some of which are okay, others are pretty terrible. Those are the ones that are first on the CD, and the originals are last.

excellent you know I have the snes version in rom format, well so far in the first stage all the voices are there, including the break it down and the annoying your bad, but if you use emulators like znes or snes 9x for some reason it dosent want to play some voices, for example in world heroes 2 you wont here the announcer on znes. Just pointing out just to make sure you dont miss any of the action heh heh =^_^=
