I agree this is probably the best WM entrance ever - possibly rivaled by Takers pyro entrance in Orlando 10 years later. JR did an admirable job convincing viewers that Shawn was the best ever WWF champion. Vince's decision to use absolute statement on Shawn was risky and accurate in Vince's world considering Hulk, Bret, Nash and Savage are at WCW, Warrior is on bad terms, Bruno and the old guard distancing themselves. The Attitude era would save them but there veil was thinly revealed.

Best Wrestlemania entrance...only Undertakers awe inspiring pyro entrance in Orlando comes close to matching. I love how JR had to convince the audience that Shawn was the best WWF champion, the greatest wrestler, etc. Considering Hulk, Bret, Nash went to WCW and Bruno Sammartino and the old timers wanted nothing to do with Vince anymore, its pretty accurate that Vince had no choice but put over Shawn in the most absolute way possible.
