This is a collection of Janis Herbison's favorite paintings done to music.

I have been inspired by nature from a very early age and with my mothers encouragement I started oil painting. I have stayed in that medium for years before I took my first watercolor workshop. Thats when I discovered my true talents, watercolor is my medium, and after nearly thirty years its still a pleasure.

I am mostly self taught. Although watercolor takes a lot of time and practice, it is also fun and unpredictable, you can often get what you could call "happy accidents". With a little patience you can gain full control of the medium, you will be amazed at the detail that you can achieve.

I love detail and have recently been working on portraits of children and cowboys. This has been pushing my talents into new and exciting areas.

Lyrics written by her father Leon Jakabosky and sung and composed by John Davis of Minnesota

  • It was done on a Mac using IMovie. Took longer to upload it then to create it. Mac's tend to make everything look easy.

  • Hi Janis, I was looking for your website and found this. It's wonderfull!!!

I have always loved and admired your work!!. Great music, too.

And it was interesting, too, because I had recently put a video of some of my paintings on YouTube: Vi's Painting-A-The God Factor. :-) Vi Steinke

  • Hello Ryan, Hans here, great work!

What Program did you use? Amazing what some well placed Ken Burns effects can do to a slideshow.
