Thank you for your good comments guys. He is the most patriotic person I will ever know. And he is racist. He got hung from the ceiling and broke both wrists. The racism he has is only displayed when he is talking about the "gooks" who tortured him. Nothing more than that though. Good grandfather right there. Lucky to have his red blood running through my veins. Get his books if you want to really understand what happened. A 3 minute video on YouTube cannot even begin to do it just.
