  • It is best to use the lowest power that gives clear communication to the person you are communicating with. The reasons are:

    1) low power causes less interference (static) for others.

    2) low power lets your batteries last longer

    3) low power gives less radio wave exposure to your head

    I have found that in the 70 cm band low or medium power works for most cases where communication is possible. It almost always works better to go to a higher place than to use higher power.

  • Thanks for the video,, but why should we use low voltage for communication while the high power gives us more range to talk?!!!
