In this episode I count the money I've found so help me decide how it should get spent, also I show some weird items that I'm not quite sure what to do with.

  • Don't you think it's dangerous for a kid to be picking up stuff from the ground?

  • yeah a little but I don't really let him I tell him to stop bringing me stuff. Hard to control 12 year old boys.

  • When your can is full, turn it in and build a savings account for something.

What happens to all the "found on the ground" items?

  • well I recycle the paper stuff but the other stuff is sitting around right now, gonna try to build something out of it.

  • You can recycle the plastic and metal.

  • people leave a lotta crap lyin around, that's a fact.

  • the board danny found is awesome, that could totally be used in a big collage, or he could paint the different little parts and hang it in his room as found/altered art. i don't know about the other stuff, maybe donate the practical stuff to salvation army or whatever, throw the other shit away? haha i don't really know. i tend to save stuff, thinking i'm gonna use it in art, somehow. but i end up never doing it. i see a lot of pacifiers on the ground, too!

  • this is the main video i think i wanted to comment on and didn't get around to it, i like these episodes. as well as the candy reviews. :) with the money, if you specifically wanna do something toward recycling or anti-littering or whatever, you could donate it to some local recycling program, or buy art supplies to make signs, but i think you'd be better off saving up some more and just using it for groceries/household supplies. ha :)

  • Yeah I understand.

  • We're always with him when he finds it. We tell him whether or not he can pick something up. He's old enough to know not to touch broken glass, food, or chemicals, etc. I'm the kid's mom btw.

  • I only gave four stars, because you failed to mention, the story behind the reflector, that our kid found. It was what was "found on the ground", after the fatal accident at the Castro Valley, Trader Joe's. Sad, but would have made it a more interesting find.

  • You could save up for a metal detector, you'll find allot more stuff.

  • cool vid
