In her address before the Democratic convention, Hillary Clinton said the election isn't about her. She told her supporters they must back Barack Obama to win what they are fighting for. (Aug. 26)
She had to be convinced several times to support Obama, as if she had forgotten that she was democratic. I WAS NEVER A HILLARY FAN, and I don't feel sorry for her in anyway. She's for the people, as long as the people are for her. What's wrong with trying a new way? Aren't you exhausted by the same old reckless American wats? If America has moved past suppresion and other important factors...what better way for them to prove it than to give a BLACK MAN A CHANCE!
I feel that Hillary Clinton isn't truly for Obama. She's proved that. It is because of her disloyal stage appearances, disrespect, and false pretense to accept a black mans position that Obama is getting alot of the negative insulting heat! To me...and many others, it's okay for blacks to be beneath her and give votes, but blacks aren't good enough to lead? Well, she proved to America what she was about when she pulled the tears, she was so sure that America had her back because she was white.
The Democratic Party traces its origins to the Democratic-Republican Party. From 1792 to 1816 the party opposed such Federalist policies as high tariffs, a navy, military spending, a national debt, and a national bank. This opposition lead to our defeat in the War of 1812.
The Republican Party was founded in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists and modernizers, and came to power in 1860 with the election of Abraham Lincoln to the presidency.
