hi ken, am 27 and will be having an injection of lucentis this week, can't say am looking forward to it but if it means i get vision back am up for it - is it common for people my age to get cystoid macular oedema from CRVO? from your experience of course

@stemccla82 It is common for anyone (young or old) with CRVO to develop macular edema. But it is not common for someone in their 20's to have a CRVO. Over the past eight or so years a few people in their twenties have come the the CRVO support bulliten board (groups.google.com/group/crvo-­support/topics - please join us if you would like) and made comments but not that many. I really hope the lucentis works well and brings down the macular edema. Hang in there, Ken

Hi Ken I hope this finds you well. a question, I am still having this done with a different Dr.and location. I have one question for you after three injections the Dr Wants to wait over a month is this common? I do not see what we are waiting for as I still cannot drive Thanks again Ken, Susan

@JerryJSKAY Unfortunately I am not a doctor so I really could not tell you even if I knew more about your situation. About the best thing I can tell you to do is to talk to your doctor again and ask him/her straight up. And if they won't explain why, maybe you should find a doctor with whom you can communicate more easily. Hang in there, Ken

I had an Avastin injection last Wednesday. I have CRVO in my right eye as you said you did. Have you gotten any improvement and if so in how long a time. I just have to ask this question because having this eye problem has made me anxious and looking for answers. I hope your vision is much better after 2 injections. William May

I just had a Kenalog injection due to cystoid macula edema after cataract surgery, lens implantation and dsaek. Thank you for posting this video.

@crvomy hi there thanks for your reply - so far i've had three lucentis injections but for the macular oedema but it seems it wasnt caused by CRVO but from Macular Telangiectasia. So far its reoccured each time around 5-6weeks after injection - i am now in my 5th week and latest appointment shows it has gone done and the fovea is returning to normal, bit of luck thatll be it for a while

i have had cystoid macular oedema for nearly two months now - my opthamologist is giving me lucentis injection like this next thurs and i can say i am not looking forward to it but you got to do what it take to get vision back esp as am only 28. Do you know anyone else who has had CME from CVI around my age?

i get something similar to this done often. i get a shot of kenalog for iritus(not sure on the spelling im only 16 lol) but basically is imflamation similar to arthritus in the eye
